Our presenting sponsor, Brooklyn Brewery, has announced that every city’s grand prize winner will receive a trip to Brooklyn, giving the Food Experiments the best prize in amateur cook-off history. We will make arrangements for the winning chef from each city to spend a long weekend in Brooklyn – enjoying great food and beer, visiting artisanal food factories, and competing for the ultimate in culinary glory.
The best part about hosting The Food Experiments is the feeling I get after awarding the grand prize. It is exciting. Seriously, growing up I never thought that I would be giving away trips like Bob “Spay or Neuter your pets” Barker on The Price is Right.
Even though I am the person on stage giving away this awesome food-filled trip, Brooklyn Brewery is the one to thank. They make this trip possible. Partnering with The Food Experiments, Brooklyn Brewery has made our events special. Do not get me wrong, a Rachel Ray cookbook is a great prize (for learning how to use frozen peas),but really!
An amateur chef is going to be rewarded for his or her hard work with a plane ticket and a chance at National Culinary Glory. This is why we started the Experiments in the first place. Brooklyn Brewery, like the Food Experiments, believes in celebrating the amateur chef in all of us!
